Decked out in strip mall rustic, the building doesn't exactly exude charm. Natural wood, brick, dead stuff on the walls and cement floors make up the decore. So what....this is a pretty good neighbourhood restaurant. It has everything else a guy wants. Cute hostess, efficient and friendly waitresses, an owner?/manager that takes the time to say goodbye on the way out, reasonable prices, good food and lots of it. The menu is a mix of BBQ and 'southern'. I had a brisket plate and it came loaded. Cole slaw was to my liking and the baked potato casserole was OK but not outstanding. The meat was tender and tasty and came with a great BBQ sauce on the side. Corn bread and biscuits were also provided. Given that there's so little in this part of town aside from Mexican, finding a close-by restaurant that's not a chain already gives it an extra star. The staff is worth one all on its own.

This restaurant is perfect for a family lunch on the weekend. They have lots of great choices. One of my favorites is the chicken fried steak. Their burgers are delicious as well. They have some of the most pleasant people working for them, you will always have everything you need at your table. Relaxed atmosphere and affordable prices, what more could you want?
